Jim and Pat McKinney are the remarkably accomplished husband and wife duo behind McKinney Building Company who, along with the company’s Project Manager Lyle Wilson, offer a truly unique approach to quality home building.

Jim is a state certified General Contractor who graduated from the University of Florida’s College of Architecture and Fine Arts in 1972. Aftergaining on-the-job experience working for one of Gainesville, Florida’s premier homebuilders, McKinney began his own construction company in 1977. Since that time, McKinney Building Company has established a reputation for not only fine quality costruction, but fine custom design and innovation, as well. With all the knowledge that McKinney has gained over the past 33 years, he is able to offer extraordinary advice to his clients, filling an important role as an expert consultant. Jim pairs a deep understanding of every aspect of the home building process with an unparralleled commitment to his craft. Then, you must factor in the artistic vision that he brings to each home he builds.

Described as “hands-on” from the initial introduction to their new client through the design, financing and construction period, to the finished product, the McKinneys and their staff maintain an open dialogue with each client to assure satisfaction with their new home experience.
