Principals of McKinney Building Company, Jim and Pat McKinney, took a personal interest in this late 1970′s era traditional styled home located on the 6th fairway of the Gainesville Golf and Country Club. Recognizing good bones when they purchase the 30+ year old house, they undertook a complete remodel to give the home the detailing and style it previously lacked. Emphasis was placed on the Kitchen, where yellow and white laminate cabinets were replaced with semi-custom cabinetry with a glazed antique finish. An enormous granite topped island replaces a wet bar “room,” demolished to open the Kitchen to the Family Room, making the Kitchen the heart of the home.
