Inspired by Green and Green

In 1908 the architectural team Greene and Greene designed a home in Pasadena, California for the Gamble family incorporating the American Arts and Crafts fundamentals of design and construction. In 1999 the influence of the Gamble House inspired a new interpretation of the Arts and Crafts movement in Gainesville, Florida.  The attention to even the smallest details and the use of materials indigenous to the area are present in this home executed by local craftsmen under the direction of McKinney Building Company, with architectural design by Jay Reeves and Associates, Inc.
